Derma Co AHA BHA Gel For Active Acne Review | CHEMICAL EXFOLIANT IN INDIA

aha and bha are popular chemical exfoliator this treatment product by dermaco combines both of this exfoliator along with niacinamide in a form of exfoliating gel here's my experience using it this formula is cruelty-free vegan oil paraben SLS free it retails fora budget-friendly 499. if you live within India you will barely have to pay anything for shipping in my case it was only 17 rupees but if you live abroad this product may not be currently available to you, either way,

It can be safely ordered from the darmaco website this exfoliating gel comes in a thinlong30 ml size plastic tube it has got two percent concentration of salicylic acid that is bha and one percent concentration of glycol is acid that is bh considering that it little goes a long way with this one you could easily use the single tube for six months or more i love that this packaging is color coded by the skincare step this tube is purple and has two on it stop right signifying that this is the second treatment step in the skincare procedure or process making it very helpful for beginners it also has this tiny cap that could control the application better.

It comes with this pamphlet so that people can understand the usage and application I generally appreciate this in India aha bha is a new thing chemical exfoliator in general are a new thing in market Indian market the concept itself didn't exist five years ago in India physical exfoliator were big and still big uh in here in this Indian market claims as per the dermaco website the gel helps to treat you and treat any active acne such as whiteheads blackheads or by reducing inflammation it damage hyperpigmentation mark like blemishes acne scars and redness evens out skin by gently uh you know slotting off the top layer of skin first we have purified aqua which is based

It's just you know base for serum then second niacinamide it's an active vitamin b3 this used to regulate sebum production helps with acne marks and conditions the skin third ingredient is prophylene glycol which is one kind of emollientan anti-microbial chemically manufactured emulsifier that conditions the skin fourth on the list salicylic acid it's another active uh betahydroxide acid known to deep clean pores by clearing out excess oils and reducing the sebum which is excess oil then we have ammonium hydroxide it's nothing but a ph adjuster this is used to adjust products ph not skins products ph to maintain an acidic exfoliants in it six on the ingredient list is glycolic acid

It's another active basically an alpha hydroxide acid that chemically exfoliates the top layer of your skin and increases the luminosity you know when we say glow from within that's what this does ah then we have argenian i'm not sure if i'm pronouncing it right but it's one kind of antioxidant more like an amino acid with skin antioxidant properties meaning it works to neutralize free radical for an anti-aging protective effect poly quaternion 10forgive me if I'm not pronouncing it right but as per my research it is a texture enhancer it is normally used to thicken a formula while also having some moisturizing property but mainly to thicken the formula next we have phenoxy tunnel plus athlete.

I'm not going to try and pronounce it these are preservatives these are used to ward off any bacterial growth and maintain the efficiency of the ingredients first ingredients fragrance something we all sensitive skin people hate i mean I feel like fragrance in general does long-term harm but if you can bear it bear it now age bha exfoliation is quite new in india when it comes to exfoliation a lot of us still think of all those you know coffee scrubs and walnut scrubs that we grew up using here- while physical exfoliation is still something i prefer over chemical one i also know the harm behind uh chemical exfoliation in a the wrong way

I mean if you use it in a wrong way I just want to you know go over on how to use product like these almost on how to correctly use ah bhexfoliation in general use this gel or any ah bha serum you have with you make sure that you use it on a cleansed slightly wet face after your toner and before your moisturizer and sunscreen you can use it in the morning and nighttime both second uh thing to remember is niacinamide and ah shave been claimed to impact the efficiency of vitamin c although this is not 100 proven some websites suggest that this gel should not be used in a conjunction with vitamin c or any derivatives of vitamin c you can you know go ahead and research what are all the derivatives of vitamin c just to be on safer sites and if you currently use any vitamin c marketed product save it for you know day time routine and then use this one for skincare nighttime routine third thing is to avoid direct sun exposure once.

You start using this gel the strong concentration of chemical exfoliator and actives in the formula is going to sensitize your skin to uv rays sun damage could adversely affect your hyperpigmentation by further darkening it and it increases your likelihood of developing serious skin conditions wear it and reapply spf over it every two hours do not go all in all at once aha bh is required that you gradually buildup a tolerance to them over time start using this gel on alternative nights for two weeks and then proceed to use it every night if needs be I mean if needs and only if your skin is not feeling irritated or acting out in any way like you.

You have to make sure you have to keep checking your skin if anything is changing uh for the bed oily and acne prone skin types can be more lenient in their application than dry skin type meaning oily skin people canget away with it easily while dry skin people may have to work to work through and understand which ah vha would work with them and try different products coming to my experience with this product first let me start with my skin type so you'll have an idea on perspective on where I'm coming from or how am I feeling this way I currently have normal to oily and acne-prone skin and it's because of winter in general

I have extremely oily skin keep in mind that this is my first time using a chemical exfoliator so my result might be a little bit more dramatic than someone who has used chemical exfoliator in higher concentration before I have been using this product for over a month every alternative night after cleansing and toning my skin in terms of applicability a little goes a long way i need very little gel which i apply as a spot treatment basically to active acne and generally spread across my t-zone which is the oiliest area on my face so you can you know judge according to your skin type and issues so there is this mild chemical yet citrusy fragrance while applying you you smell it the formula feels like when you touch it it feels like honey which is a sticky when applying and it doesn't require much tapping or massage to absorb into your skin it just gets absorbed immediately once it gets absorbed there is no noticeable difference to my skin except for some added moisture that you just feel.

It doesn't look that way there is also some different finish left on my skin some what hydrated but yeah i experienced no pulling with my moisturizer applied on top of this gel it just sets perfectly and doesn't interrupt with any other product applicationi have visibly seen my acne lighten overnighti mean red pimple becomes light becomes pink peach the size of them also shrinks just a little just when i use it and I have continued to break out consistently this month but the acne is better managed by using this one on top of it at night one thing i have noticed is that my skin is not so oily lately so either this product could be drying out my skin more than i realize or it could be just winter or maybe just aging i mean i have just learned that as you age your skin and hair tends to lose its natural moisture and becomes more dry with the ages ad but life right I don't have hyperpigmentation as such i mean now I don't except my under eye circle but I think that's geneticsany way i don't use this product under my eyes because why don't do that so I can't really talk about its effect on hyperpigmentation but the marks acne marks have lightened my final verdict is as long as you use it correctly this product will give you the result you are looking for i think it is causing an over production of sebum in my case my sebum i mean natural oil your skin produce produces as salicylic acid tends to dry out uh my skinso it triggers my skin to produce more so i'm not quite satisfied with the result.
